According to the report for the second quarter of 2010 which was recently issued by the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security), IT security remains strongly under pressure.
The report emphasises the growing number of spyware, as virus scanners are finding it ever more difficult if not impossible to detect them. A warning from infected banners is also included in the report, as they are considered to be particularly hideous due to their presence on regular web sites whose operators are generally unaware of the danger they constitute. They often originate from ad servers, which distribute these banners to Internet sites.
