F A Q   »
Why isn't PacketAlarm able to recognise an attack at the moment?

- Check that the scan interface is in fact connected to the network segment you wish to scan. In the PacketAlarm display you should also see a bar display of the scan interface concerned after the CPU display is shown.

- Check that the scan interface is in fact connected to a hub and not to a switch.

- If you are using NAT with the scan interface in use upstream from a router or a firewall, the HomeNet must be the external IP address of the router (and not the internal NAT addresses). The network downstream of the router or the firewall is not visible to PacketAlarm through the NAT.
