How do I set about further improving the performance of PacketAlarm?
The performance of PacketAlarm declines as the number of IP addresses to be monitored increases. Performance can be improved by installing a further sensor in the network. If the IP addresses are distributed between the two sensors, scan performance will also increase.
Care needs to be taken when defining some rules, as (e.g.) examination of data packets by content is more performance-intensive.
